El Supremo Rum Debuts in Vietnam: A Toast to Our First Tasting Event in Ho Chi Minh City

Last month, El Supremo Rum officially set foot in the vibrant Vietnamese market with an exclusive, by-invitation-only tasting event in Ho Chi Minh City. Hosted in collaboration with Vangonline, this premiere gathering marked a significant milestone for us, introducing our premium rum to an audience of F&B professionals, spirits connoisseurs, and key industry leaders.

A Night of Discovery

The event took place at Vangonline's modern showroom, a space perfectly suited for a sophisticated spirits tasting. We transformed the venue into an immersive experience, complete with branded signage and dedicated tasting stations that guided guests through the El Supremo story.


A brand representative began the evening with a detailed presentation on our history and unique production process. We emphasized our commitment to traditional aging methods and the rich heritage of Paraguayan rum, setting the stage for the tasting journey to come.


The Tasting Experience


The highlight of the night was the guided tasting of our core expressions, each one a testament to our craftsmanship:

  • El Supremo 8 Años: Guests enjoyed this approachable rum, praised for its balanced profile of vanilla, spice, and dried fruit. Its versatility makes it ideal for both neat enjoyment and premium cocktails.

  • El Supremo 12 Años: This expression was noted for its deeper oak notes and a smooth, rounded finish, appealing to those seeking more complexity.

  • El Supremo 18 Años: The grand finale. This rum was lauded for its exceptional complexity and "evening sipper" quality, featuring rich aromas of sugar cane honey, tobacco, and dark chocolate.

Each rum was thoughtfully paired with curated light bites, including dark chocolate, aged cheese, and quality meats, designed to complement and enhance the flavors of the spirits.


Building a Foundation


The event was a resounding success. We received overwhelmingly positive feedback from guests, who praised the smoothness and premium character of our rums. Attendees actively participated in sharing their tasting notes and insights, demonstrating a genuine enthusiasm for the brand.

The reception has already led to concrete outcomes. Several key distributors have expressed strong interest in carrying our product, and we've scheduled follow-up meetings to explore retail and HORECA (Hotel/Restaurant/Café) channel development. The positive buzz on local social media channels has also helped build early brand momentum.
