Building on Success: El Supremo Rum’s Second Stop in Hanoi

Following our successful debut in Ho Chi Minh City, the El Supremo Rum team was thrilled to bring our journey to the capital city. In September, we held our second exclusive tasting event in Hanoi, a key step in strengthening our presence in Vietnam's dynamic and growing premium spirits market.

An Evening in Times City
The event took place at Vangonline’s flagship showroom in Vincom Megamall Times City. We crafted a professional yet welcoming atmosphere where guests could immerse themselves in the world of El Supremo Rum. Branded displays and tasting stations were set up to highlight our distinct product line and facilitate guided sampling sessions.
The audience in Hanoi, which included a strong contingent of premium liquor retailers, hotel and restaurant beverage managers, and private collectors, brought a sophisticated and discerning perspective to the evening. We tailored our brand presentation to focus on the unique origin of our rum in Paraguay, emphasizing our traditional aging methods and the rich story behind every bottle.
A Guided Tasting of Fine Rum
The program's highlight was a guided tasting of our core expressions, each showcasing a different facet of our craftsmanship:
El Supremo 8 Años: This rum was introduced as a versatile and approachable expression, perfect for both enjoying neat and crafting premium cocktails.
El Supremo 12 Años: Guests appreciated the structured and complex profile of this rum, noting its elegant spice notes.
El Supremo 18 Años: The tasting concluded with this exceptional "evening sipper," celebrated for its layered notes of molasses, leather, and toasted wood.
To enhance the experience, each rum was paired with meticulously chosen food items, including honey-glazed charcuterie, dark chocolate-covered almonds, and aged Gouda, which complemented the spirits' unique characteristics.
Momentum in Northern Vietnam
The Hanoi tasting was a resounding success, building strong momentum for El Supremo Rum in the northern part of the country. The engagement and feedback from attendees were invaluable. We've already seen tangible results, with several luxury retail partners expressing interest in trial orders. One major hotel group has even requested a private follow-up tasting for its beverage team, signaling strong interest in the hospitality sector.
We are incredibly grateful for the warm reception and enthusiasm from the Hanoi community. The positive response, especially from local spirits influencers on social media, shows that our story-driven, premium rum is resonating with the Vietnamese market. We look forward to our next steps and continued growth in this exciting country.
